Models walking like dolls in the ramp showcasing the clothes created by certain designer – this is basically the concept of a fashion show. Fashion shows are held to introduce a new designer or a new collection of clothes. Though a lot of people will associate these types of shows as an event for socialites, models and superstars, their main purpose is to sell clothes. Fashion shows aim to show the buyers the clothes and convince them to buy it by showing how great the models look wearing them. Fashion shows can also be considered as marketing and promotion stint that will help designers become more popular and sell more.
Gucci, Dolce & Gabanna, Donna Karan, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Louis Vitton, Tom Ford, Valentino Garavani, Donatella Versace, Ralph Lauren, Marc Jacobs, Stella McCartney – they are among the world’s top fashion designers. They formulate the combination of lines, proportion, texture, color and garments to create elegant, fun, silly and expensive clothes that models wear in the runway or the actors and actresses of Hollywood. Fashion designers not only design clothes, shoes, bags, etc; they define what is in and what is out. They set the trend. Fashion designers have a great influence on what people wear and how they wear it.
Looking good means a lot, especially for women. Cosmetics can enhance your look and make you look better. A little powder covers your blemishes. Some blush-on can add life to your face. A light lipstick can make your lips more kissable. Mascara and eye make-up open and reveal the beauty of your eyes. Putting some cosmetics can transform you from a plain looking girl to an attractive lady. It can cover your flaws and enhance your assets. Light make-up is ideal for daytime affairs or just going to the office. A slightly heavier make-up will be better for night time.
Clothes define your personality and style. What you wear tells something about yourself. Your apparel can also be a way for you to express your beliefs and messages. You can build an image with the clothes you wear, and people build an impression based on your clothes. Wearing a corporate suit will make you look successful in your career. Wearing jeans and shirts, expresses a rather relaxed mood. Tattered pants and a rock star shirt, combined with some metallic accessories show a rather rebellious personality. Dressy outfits make you look fashionable. Long skirts and long sleeve shirts combined exudes a conservative image.
